- Rogelio Agrasánchez Jr.'s new book has been completed. It is about the life and career of Guillermo Calles, first Mexican actor in Hollywood and a pioneer nationalistic filmmaker. This book will be published by McFarland in 2010. More details will be added as soon as available.

- A Mexican Revolution Movie Poster Exhibit will be held in Brownsville, Texas, in November 2009. Dates and place will be posted as soon as confirmed. In addition, Rogelio Agrasánchez Jr. will give a lecture about the Novels of the Mexican Revolution that were adapted to film.

- Our friends Viviana García Besné and her husband, Alistair Tremps, have completed their documentary 'Perdida'. This documentary recounts Viviana's encounter with her family's cinematic legacy. The Calderóns were the most influential family in the exhibition, distribution and production of Mexican films. 'Perdida' premiered in Mexico City in October, 2009. A must-see for anyone interested in the origins, climax and decline of the Mexican film industry.

- The book 'Abismos de pasión: una historia de las relaciones cinematográficas hispano-mexicanas' has been released in 2009 by the Filmoteca Española and the Instituto de Cinematografía y Artes Audiovisuales de España (Ministerio de Cultura). This volume was edited by Alberto Elena and Eduardo de la Vega. It contains about 20 essays, one of them traces the history of the Spanish movie poster artists in Mexican cinema; it is written by Rogelio Agrasánchez Jr.
